Sree Narayana Guru College of Engineering and Technology is a premier Self- Financed Engineering Institution established in the year 2003 by Sree Bhakthi Samvardhini Yogam, a registered Charitable Organization with more than 4000 members, functioning in Kannur since 1907. The College was named after the Great Saint and Social Reformer of Kerala, Sree Narayana Guru Devan (1855-1928), who was instrumental in the formation of Sree Bhakthi Samvardhini Yogam. Mr. K.P Balakrishnan and Mr.K.P Pavithran hold the posts of President and Secretary of managing body respectively.

The College is located in a picturesque and tranquil village called KOROM, 5 Kilometers towards North East of the town of Payyanur, tucked away from noise and pollution. The sprawling lush green campus is unique in scenic beauty with a panoramic vision of the hills and greenery around it. The campus has state of the art facilities and infrastructure like Laboratories, Workshops and Library to effectively train the new generation engineers. Separate Boys and Girls hostels in the campus operate in spacious buildings with modern amenities. The college is offering ample transport facilities for commuting students and staff. Also students’ extracurricular activities are wholeheartedly supported. A combination of highly reputed academicians as Principal and HODs, matured and experienced middle level faculties and energetic young teachers brimming with confidence and knowledge in the latest happenings of engineering, complete our academic spectrum. The College is affiliated to APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University and offers 4 year B.Tech programmes in ME, EEE, ECE, CSE and CE and 2 year M.Tech programmes in Civil Engineering.

The college has its deserving reputation as an Institution of Engineering & Technology committed to train its students in the field of Engineering for acquiring competence of nation/global standards. Training and Placement unit in the college enables students to get placement in reputed firms. The unit is functioning under the guidance and advice of academic and industrial experts and organizes innovative programmes like communication skill training, group discussions, mock interviews etc. Emphasis is placed on personality development and improving communication skills of students to enable them to perform better and get placements through campus recruitment. The college secures good results in all branches and majority of students are well placed in different firms and establishments in and out India, including prestigious Civil Services, Indian Armed Forces etc. Types of seats available are Merit Quota, Management Quota and NRI Quota. Lateral Entry for engineering diploma holders is also available. Students have to pass KEAM and opt our college with code SNC for allocation of Merit Seats. A pass in KEAM or KEE is required for Management seats. Entrance exam is not required for NRI seats. Lateral entry candidates need to pass LET Exam conducted by Govt. The institution strives to mould the child into a healthy individual imbued with high moral and ethical values and aimed at the three fold development achieved through the head, the heart and the hand. The Vidya Mandir was founded in October, 1980. It was upgraded as a Senior Secondary school in 1992, the first batch of pupils of XII Standard appeared for the All India Senior School Certificate Examination in March 1994. The institution with a strength of 2400 students, in a little over a decade has steadily grown in stature producing outstanding results both in scholastic as well as non scholastic areas of learning and is one of the leading institutions in this part of the state of Kerala.
